This week has been a complete blur in my eyes. It was spirit week at the high school and things were pure chaos. In the chaos I was still able to learn in class this week the importance of looking over past writing works.
In class this week were asked to reread old creative writing pieces to correct bad grammar and add to the story. While rereading my past writing I was able to see my writing style change. My writing style, from first to third person, and I've also seen my writing improve, from the beginning of the year to the now.
Generally, when I write for class, I write in the first person perspective because it's the one that is easiest for me to write about. I've been experiencing with writing in third person during creative writing time because I've gotten bored with only first person perspective. I think third person perspective can add something to writing which I originally didn't see. For example, third person perspective can help make a story non biased from a perspective and can also help readers understand more than one perspective.
My writing style has improved from the Beijing of the year to now through writing in third person perspective, but also because I've learned to focus solely on typing and not focus on grammar. This has helped me because I am able to write down everything I am thinking making sure I don't forget topics I want to cover.
So even though this week was absolute chaos and filled with stress I still learned some important things in AP Lit this week. Here's the video of our classes mock rock which kicked some serious butt!
